Ministry of Health Took Drug Eluted Stents Under Insuarence Payment Scope

Ministry of Health, 10.th Division of the State Council stopped the rule that says ‘drug-eluted stent cost is not bared by HMO’ that exists as the 18th.paragraph under the subject of  'Medical Equipment Supply Principles' of Health Application Statement prepared by Ministry of Health.

It is decided forcing patient and caretaker purchasing medical supply (stent) from market puts patient under heavy financial burden and in some cases not being able to purchase the stent. Therefore it is decided this situation conflicts with ‘right for healthy lives and social governence’ as it is against law to force patient and caretakers to pay the complete medical treatment costs.
