Material Advantage
The advantage of the high yield strength of Cobalt Chromium alloy and stent design allows COMMANDER to have a thinner wall thickness.
Cobalt Chromium has a higher radiopacity than stainless steel stemming from its higher density.

Recoil
Low recoil rate ensures accuracy in reaching the target nominal lesion diameter while decreasing restenosis rates

Radial Strength
COMMANDER has a higher radial strength than Stainless Steel stents because of its thin wall thickness stemming from its design and from the specification of its material.

Flexibility
COMMANDER Stent is designed to provide high flexibility in reaching areas characterized by tortuous lesion.

Thin Wall Thickness
Despite its thin wall thickness (70 μm) COMMANDER stent has a high radial strength like its Stainless Steel counterparts with high flexibility stemming from the specification of its L605 coded Cobalt Chromium material.

After the electro-polishing process is performed, Cobalt Chromium alloys exhibit rounder and thinner struts compared to Stainless Steel. This feature of the material provides a decrease in restenosis risk.

High-Quality Electro Polishing
High quality polishing of the stent decreases the potential risk rate of thrombosis and restenosis.

Delivery System
HYDROMERTM HYDROPHILIC coated hypo-tube, proximal shaft and distal shaft provides low friction that enhances trackability and pushability. Low crossing profile provides an excellent lesion crossing.   
Several studies show that thinner stent struts result in more flexible devices and reduced cross- sectional profiles [1, 2].

Conclusion
To provide a high radial strength despite the low wall thickness the materials of the stents should possess a high strength [1]. Cobalt Chromium is a good candidate as the base stent material because of its features such as possessing a higher rates of strength compared to Stainless Steel. Another additional benefit of this material is its increased X-ray attenuation compared to Stainless Steel [1].

COMMANDER Cobalt Chromium alloy SDS (Stent Delivery System) has all of the advantages provided by its base material: Cobalt Chromium. Because of the feature advantages of L605 coded material over Stainless Steel;  COMMANDER Stent provides the same radial strength, with its 70μm thick walls and higher flexibility rates compared to the Stainless Steel stents
