Alviguide Guiding Catheter

Alviguide guiding catheter has a large non-tapered lumen that allows contrast medium injection and pressure monitoring and facilitates the intravascular passage of interventional devices. Optimum pushability, shape retention, kink resistance, torque control and deliverability are achieved with Alviguide guiding catheter.

Product Specificiton

  • Shaft material is nylon and pebax; wire braided skeleton is 304 coded Stainless Steel. The material used in this catheter is biocompatible. Wire braided skeleton is incorporated between the polymer and the inner Teflon lining.
  • Nylon is extruded at different lengths depending on the size of the catheter; 5-6F has three jackets whereas 7-8F has two jackets.
  • Between the polymer and the Teflon, 16 strands of Stainless Steel flat wire or helical wire is used. Due to the braided skeleton, the catheter can maintain up to 8275kPa pressure.
  • The innermost layer of the catheter is Teflon (from hub to tip). This PTFE lining reduces friction and enhances deliverability of other devices.

Alviguide Guiding Catheter
  • Catheters are given shape-memory with heat, and they do maintain their shapes inside the body.
  • Soft tapered tip is 2mm and it is found in all types.
  • UV and heat resistant.
  • Varying strengths of the shaft helps to maintain stability, pushability and control.
  • Shaft is filled with radiopacifier.
  • Proximal and distal parts have the same diameter (from hub to tip).
  • Different curve types and different types with varying perfusion holes are available.

Product Advantages

Pushability
7-8F has two jackets, due to its size and its diameter and the wire used in these sizes is spring wire. Polymer combination is determined to maintain appropriate strength for optimal pushability.

5-6F has three jackets and the wire used in these sizes is flat wire as the wire braid skeleton. Polymer combination is determined to maintain appropriate strength for optimal pushability.

Optimal Back-Up
Varying segments are found throughout the entire catheter length to help maintaining optimal back-up and stability during the injection.

Large Inner Lumen
Due to the materials used in this product it has a thin wall structure. This feature allows this product to have outstanding flow rates, superior visualization and ease of hand injection as a large lumen is created inside of the catheter.

Torque Control
Smooth torque control is maintained throughout the catheter shaft (1:1).

Kink Resistance
16 strands Stainless Steel skeleton prevents kink formation throughout the entire catheter length.

Shape Retention
Heat protection assures that the catheter does not lose its specific shape (curve) at the human body temperature.

PTFE Coating
Teflon is used to reduce coefficient of friction on the inner lining of the catheter. It is present from the hub to the tip all throughout the entire catheter length.

  • Ease in other catheters’ delivery
  • Reduced risk of thrombosis

Diameter Consistency
Proximal and distal parts have the same diameters throughout the entire catheter length.

Trackability
Radiopacifier filled catheter is easily traceable under the X-ray. Since the catheter is heat protected it does not lose its strength at the human body temperature.

Curve Selection
More than 400 types of curves

  • Judkins, extra support, amplatz, multipurpose, sones, castillo.
  • 5-8F
